Chöd-Practice with Drubpön Chödrön

Cutting Through Deluded Concepts into the Expanse:
A Concise Practice of the Essence of Profound Cutting in one Session.
We received this Practice from H.E. Drikung Lamchen Gyalpo during his visit in 2015.
Chöd is a living Buddhist practice that has been widespread in Tibet for about a thousand years. The great practitioner Machik Labdrön is the best-known representative of this tradition. Chöd means to “cut through”. We “cut through” the grasping at a self that keeps us from attaining profound insight. Overcoming ego-centric, habitual thinking and conduct allows the natural openness and clarity of our mind to manifest. This Tantric practice, in which one also gives away one’s own body in meditation, bound up with the highest bodhicitta, was first taught in Tibet by the yogini Machig Labdrön (approx.1055 -1145).

We will be taught the Chöd-Practice by Drubpön Chödrön.
She will begin teachings us the recitation of the Sadhana. Once this practice is stable, Drubpön Chödön will introduce us to the bell and Dhamaru practice.

The Sadhana is provided at the Center.

Due to events there will be no Chöd practice until further notice. New dates will be announced.
