SECOND HEVAJRA DRUBCHEN, EMPOWERMENT AND TEACHINGS
WITH H.H. DRIKUNG KYABGON THINLEY LHUNDUP
It is with the greatest joy and delight that we announce the upcoming visit of H. H. Drikung Kyabgon Thinley Lhundup. For the second time in Europe, His Holiness will lead the Hevajra Drubchen according to the Marpa Ngok transmission of the Drikung Kagyü lineage. The event will begin with a Hevajra initiation and teachings, followed by the Drubchen.
Marpa journeyed to India three times to receive and practice teachings. Most of Marpa's transmissions derive from Naropa. Hevajra was Marpa's main Yidam from the 13 Mother Tantras. His Holiness wishes to revive Marpa's Yidam practice, as this Mar Ngok line is in danger of dying out.
Therefore, His Holiness officially declared that the Milarepa Retreat Center in Germany will be the location where the Drubchen and all Mar-Ngok Hevajra Tantra teachings will be practiced as a "Specialty" here. His Holiness has accordingly created a program in which each year there will be alternately a Hevajra and a Nairatmya Drubchen from the Hevajra Mandala.
All practitioners from throughout the world can participate in the Drubchens.
The teachings will be translated into English, German and Russian. No previous knowledge is required.

DRUBCHEN:
A Drubchen is characterized by the fact that the mantra is continuously recited day and night. We will form small groups that recite the mantra all night long until the first session of the next day.
July 7, 2023, REGISTRATION DAY:
Since several organizational matters must be discussed, we strongly request that all participants keep to the following schedule and arrive no later than 17:30 PM
9:00 am-5:30 pm: Registration
4:30 pm: Volunteers meet with their team leaders
5:30 pm: Volunteers meet with their team leaders
6:30-7:30 pm: Dinner (Please come on time to dinner, as the Helper-Teams also want to attend the meeting at 20:00)
8:00 pm: Mandatory Meeting for all participants: Information on scheduling during the Drubchen.
Please note: After this meeting we can’t offer a driving service to your hotel; we kindly ask you to please take care of the organisation of your taxi.
PROGRAM:
The complete Program will be distributed in the Center.
On July 16, 2023 the Drubchen finishes around 4:00 pm.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS OUTSIDE THE CENTER:
If you are staying overnight outside, you can also participate in the Drubchen.
SILENCE:
Silence is maintained during the Drubchen. It is recommended that all participants who spend the night in external accommodations do not interrupt their silence when entering and leaving the mandala if possible.
INSTRUMENTS:
If you wish to use instruments for the practice, please bring your personal ritual objects (vajra, bell and damaru).
TEXTS:
The Center will supply the Hevajra Sadhana.
CLOSED RETREAT:
Since this is a closed retreat, you must participate in the complete drubchen-week. It will not be possible to participate only on single days.
INTERVIEW:
Since His Holiness will be leading the drubchen-week and requires regular rest periods, there will be no interviews.
SEATING ALLOCATION:
There are enough mats and chair places. You are welcome to bring your own seat cushion. Seats can be reserved for visitors and accompanying persons with limited mobility. If you are a wheelchair user, please indicate this when registering.
FEE:
After receipt of your registration we will send you an invoice. Your booking will only become binding upon receipt of the fee to our account.

OVERNIGHT STAYS AT THE MILAREPA RETREAT CENTER AND EXTERNAL ACCOMMODATIONS:
At the Milarepa Retreat Centre we can only offer a limited number of overnight stays including breakfast. As soon as this contingent has been exhausted, please contact the Schneverdingen Tourist Office (www.schneverdingen-touristik.de) directly. We strongly recommend that you try to find a place to stay as soon as possible, as the month of August is the peak vacation season in the Lüneburger Heath.

The limited number of parking spaces at the Milarepa Retreat Center is reserved for guests of the Center.
